Black Panther
This is not a new one - but most likely most of you have not heard this before. The last couple of weeks I've been going back over some of my earlier mixes and fixing them. It's amazing what you can learn - I've got to thank my good friends here for all the constructive comments over the years for helping me get better at this - although I'm sure I've got a ways to go yet. On this one - the instruments I used were: BFD - drums Guitar - A Gibson ES 335 played through a POD XT Live Bass Guitar - a Godin synth guitar played through Roland GR-30. I hope you enjoy Black Panther. Thanks for taking a listen - feel free to comment.

Soundcloud has historically been very reliable - but recently I've been having nothing but trouble with it. Sorry.

Yeah, it wasn't SC, it was my freaking access... (20% packet loss) I should have checked more before saying that. I checked my SC, after yours and both were not working so I made a false assumption. They fixed my access. I have that very same POD unit. It's amazing how much that BFD sounds like a kit the way you used it. Go Black Panthers! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlE5yK4l34o

Clean, Sounds good to me. Has a Pink Panther vibe to it in a sense. Drums are pretty cool. Guitar is always nice. Thanks for sharing. Peace be with you. Blessings, John

Love that groove and tasty playing and tone. Top notch sounding production. I'm not one for guitar instrumentals, but this is totally cool from beginning to end. Salute

Thanks guys - yea - Black Panther - I thought it sounded a bit like the Pink Panther theme when I was finished with it - a bit darker - so - Black Panther it is. Thanks again.

Lovely stuff Mark, you have such natural chops for this style, it sounds effortless, and the groove is loose but tight..if you know what I mean. Really enjoyed that.

Yeah i get the pink panther vibe too, but it is a bit more dark and sinister sounding. Made me visualise people lurking round dark corners. Your guitar tone is wonderful, and your pklaying is very tasteful. Liked the minimilist backing as it gave your guitar playing plenty of room to breath. Nice work Mark.

Love it. Had me swinging from the first beat. I think I have heard this before... it is very familiar (but not The PP like others).

Kill Whitey!!! That was one of Farley's best movies (Black Sheep) And I'm sorry, it was the whole Black Panther's allusion that called up the image? Still a classic scene :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlE5yK4l34o It goes to show that some well intentioned ideas, can still be discouraged?

What a cool vibe this song has. The guitar is thick, and the song is classy. This would make a great soundtrack.
