Wow I Had A Great Birthday :)
So much excitement, the day flew by at warp speed.  Now I'm relaxing after having a terrific meal (Lobster Mornay), I'm so full I had to wait a while before eating my Birthday cake (Caramel Apple Cake with Banana Cream Topping)! For gifts I got, guitar stand, movies, food processor and cash.... So I guess I'll be buying some software soon. What I had first in mind is; Valhalla Room and other goodies, haven't decided yet. Probably other Valhalla plugins: Uber Mod and maybe the Vintage also. Or I could go for the Slate FG-X. I really like the Valhalla Room, it has a nice brighter, cleaner sound (perfect for vocals) whereas the Vintage has more warmth and colour, so I suppose it be awesome on drums, particularly the snare. But I've had my eye on the Slate FG-X for quite some time. Hmmm decisions, decisions, deecisssions

So do you think Vintage is a "must have" verb even if you have Room? I love Valhalla Room and find a little goes a long way in a mix....

Sharke: do you think Vintage is a "must have" verb even if you have Room?
That's a really good question: I suppose you could get by without it if you already own another good reverb plugin however, from what I've read they are definitely different, and the Vintage has a plate reverb and IMO overall has a more colourful 'warm' sound that would be ideal for sterile cold sounding digital (virtual) instruments. So, if I had only two reverb plugins they would be Valhalla Room for vocals and Vintage for virtual instruments.
IMO both are awesome. For $50 each = awesome value. So, I will most likely get both if not now, then I guess eventually.

That's a good point about lending warmth to digital instruments. I really must demo it but I've been way too lazy...

Sorta, kinda, absolutely no way although I'm not sure.... I'm stuck in some sort temporal loop, living my early to late 20's all over and over again. But my body feels like a 2000 year old fossil.
