A Pugtone Protest Song (NOT!!) -Please enjoy "THE MEDIA SONG"

I was at my warehouse and some of these lyrics came to mind.  I called my wife and asked her to write them down because I had my hands full and would lose them at work.  I came home and wrote this song in about an hour.  I recorded the tracks (4) and Mark Cline mixed them.  It really does reflect my feelings on the media as it is today.  So, I won't be remixing this but appreciate comments on the song.  Thanks in advance, good or bad.  Oh, I posted this about 4 years ago, I think.

Bravo Warren.  Being a big fan of songs that have something to say I really loved this one, especially being as the media is also a pet peeve of mine.  Thanks for giving them a proper lampooning.  Nice job on the mix by Mark too.  Loved the harmonies.

Great story teller style on this. I share your opinion about 24 hour news channels. Love the instrumentation, the Blues harp was a great choice.

Listening on Buds so keep that in mind. I may pull that harp back a bit, on my buds it seems a little more present than the vocals.

I love the media, Ethernet, fiber, "the air interface?" All really cool types of media. At least we still have MSNBC (Thank GOD!) That's where I go when I want straight shooting :-)  That Rachel Maddow has never lied to me, she always tells it like it is ;-)

This could very easily have been John Prine instead of the pugtones!

I enjoyed your song Warren and agree with the sentiments...  All you hear anymore are anti-socialist right wing demagogic talking points! A spending problem? A SPENDING PROBLEM!!?? LOL What are these people smoking! We have a Fairness problem! And a problem with the unbridled greed of the 1%!!

(ahh please keep in mind that I am known sometimes for my sarcasm and this may be one of those times.) I love the NY Times! Or do I...

The media is what it is... propaganda is more subtle and effective than ever... Journalism is dead as Hank Williams...
I love the song... and I love the delivery...
Great work Warren... good job on the mix Mark...

I agree totally with the sentiment Warren.  I rarely watch the mainstream news anymore.

This is Great.  The recording and mix are wonderful: Very "CLEAN" and open, with a vibrancy that this sort of track needs.

Your voice is sounding in great form Warren.

    Great job guys. :-)

Get some reverb on that harmonica and send it further back in the mix...... you have some plosions at around 1:15 and again at 1:40. Cool work Warren and Pugites.

Phil- Thanks for listening and the nice comments.  I appreiate it!

Grant- I appreciate it.  I often wonder what the country would be like if the broadcast media would just give the news without the bias and political spin.  Thanks, Grant!

Robby- Thanks for listening and commenting.

Mark- Do you think he was serious?  LOL!

Scotty- Faking a sarcasm is funny.  Thanks for listening.

Sounds like a lot of fun to record. Any activity that involves poking the media with a stick would be fun, really. Nice job on everything.
