The Phobium - by Voda La Void
Hey all. Just uploaded a new tune, The Phobium. It's my term for the pseudo prison / security zone built by phobia. Anyone struggling with social phobia, or any fears that tend to drive one into isolation, can surely relate. The opening is a little weird...hope you all like. http://www.soundclick.com...12235860&q=hi&newref=1

OK, it was spot on in the beginning to times I sat looking through the curtains waiting for people who never came to get me. I am so glad that is so far in the past it's not normal to go there now. This made me do it? Phobia or paranoia. When the vocals came in it actually released me from that feeling. Thank God! It's a good tune,Voda. I like the way you arranged the vocals and instruments. WELCOME TO THE FORUM.

Great song, love the contrast between electric and acoustic guitars. Very interesting sounds and textures.

This is a terrific recording all the way around. The song is well written, and the mix sparkles with energy and raw emotion. At times I thought of Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. A+

Thanks guys, I appreciate your time and glad you all liked. I was afraid the intro might keep folks from getting to the meat of the song...what I had in my head and what ended up tracked was two different things. Warrenlee - I love the "minstrel band" reference...I feel like I've really achieved something now, ha ha.

Interesting, I always wondered if I was supposed to like the thing out side my room. Thanks for sharing

Reminded me a lot of some of the "post-Punk" stuff coming out in the UK during the late 70's - early 80's. I liked this a lot and just as i was thinking that the track needed vocals, they came in, so i was pleased about that. :-) Lovely mix and recording. Your vocals sound perfect for this. Interesting lyrics. A top notch piece of work.

Voda, this totally outragiously different and awesome. Reminds me a bit of Jethro Tull. Very unique with a lot going on. Peace be with you. Blessings, John

Hey thank you very much fellas. It means a lot to receive validation, and I know you know what I'm talking about. I promise to return the favor and provide some feedback myself. I had thought I could do that this morning, but I have been redirected to bench work today so I will have to do this after work tonight. Please don't think me selfish, I will do my part to contribute to this forum, I promise.

Very imaginative, and ironically fearless arrangement/production... technically skillful, and very musical... I'm impressed... Welcome to the forum...

"Anyone struggling with social phobia, or any fears that tend to drive one into isolation, can surely relate." No, I wouldn't have any idea what that's like? I get along so well with everyone and am loved by all! This was well done, when it breaks in to the part with the vocals, they need to come up in the mix. Your guitar work is quite good. And the vocals are excellent for this genera. The production is "spot on." **Edit, Ha! I didn't read the previous posts and saw that Warren said it was "Spot on" as well! (I do not think he's Bobby.) Also, good show, and well done. Being new, and commenting on other threads when you posted something new? I would say you are in the 5%... In other words, 95% of people who have never posted before, simply say, "Hey listen to my shiz?" Without ever listening to anything either before or after by anyone else? I believe most employ "a shotgun technique?" and probably do this on dozens of sites at the same time. So I believe you showed class and decorum by commenting on music by others. I'm not saying that because mine was on the list, I'm saying that because most, and I do mean "most" do not use what should seemingly be a common courtesy? Which you played very nicely. Like my tattoo says? "Welcome aboard! We hope you enjoy your stay!" Actually? Right now? It just says "Wel" But, perhaps I've over-shared yet again.
