Colors
Can't seem to make any of the colors change in X1 LE. I restart the application and nothing changes. Is this a known bug?

yes it is, not a bug more like a feature in progress, though there are some things that colors will change. so not all is not working.

Hmm..okay. Does that mean there will be an official update to X1 LE? I thought since X2 came out Cakewalk would not work on X1 anymore.

No. There will be no further development of the X1 versions. Any future updates to the Colours options will only be applied to X2 (or X3....X4....)

I'm afraid the default color set is not available as a preset. I'm sure your X2 had that look before you started customizing it (I know that's the default 'cause I re-installed X2 more than once ). To recover the default color set, all you need to do is click [Defaults: All Colors].

Do you mean you couldn't find the [Defaults: All Colors] button but you are Ok with the current color set because you don't want to reinstall? The [Defaults: All Colors] button is located in the lower right corner, just above the [Import Colors] button.

Yes there is the default button but it doesn't fix my problem....in my opinion the migration installer option don't install the X2 new colors presets if the user didn't make a X2 fresh install.

You'll hear from someone who installed X2 over X1, and you'll know if your guess is true or not.

It would be nice if they had a Preset Page kind like the PC Presets where people can share all their work on changing colors once Cake gets it all straightened out. Id like to set my Console View up as my real hardware is-Allen and Heath Board so they match. If someone wanted to take the time, they could create a color scheme for each board maker and save them as a Preset to Share somehow. Changing each individual color to fit a persons liking can be very time consuming.

You're welcome. BTW, I forgot to mention that you need to select "All Colors" from the Color Category pull-down before clicking the [Defaults: All Colors] if you want to change all colors back to the default. I'm not sure if that works for you, though.

fenderguy4life Will that x2 color scheme download work for x1? I've never tried that since I uninstalled X1 (before installing X2). But I don't think it will.

Okay. Thank you. I wonder if anybody has tried it. I seem to remember a whole thread on colors where people were offering up their work. Probably an x2 thread??

fender guy, I've been able to change quite a few colors in x1 when I used it, have you gone in and tried any color changes, not just a couple, like going through several menus changing a few things. I had the whole background blue and my track fonts yellow and orange for busses, even more than that, there are quite a few things that you can change. just because a few of the fan favorites don't work doesn't mean the others don't, give it try.

Ive noticed you can change quite a few in Console view but Track View was limited for me. Make sure you back all the way out and then come back in to X1 for changes to take effect so you can see what did and didn't change.
