Error message when trying to install Guitar Tracks

I hope someone can advise me please. I am trying to install Guitar Tracks on to my Windows 7 64bit, When the installation starts get the following error message part way through the process: C:\\windows\system32\msvcr71.dll An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file. DeletFile failed code 5 Either try again, ignore or skip (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation. Can anyone advise me what I should do? Regards Denis :-)

Well as know one seems to have any suggestions I have gone ahead and installed Guitar Tracks version 4.0.4.71 from the disc that came with my VS-studio 20 and ignored/skip the file installs having problems with. I downloaded guitar tracks_4.1.1 (which appears to be a patch update) and istalled it. So far GT seems to be working OK, but I'm still concerned that the install problem may jump up and bite me at some point, so any advice would certainly be appreciated. :-)

sorry its taken so long to get back to you here.
how did you make out ?

im guessing this is your problem, its a direct x runtime issue.
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/search.aspx?q=directx

I would start by downloading and installing the latest direct x package from Microsoft.
it is needed for some games and graphic intense applications such as sonar and guitar tracks, though guitar tracks is not as graphic intense as one would think, it still needs this to run properly.

the latter guess would be, its possible you have a virus ?
I would do a scan just to rule it out, I have also seen things like this pop up because of viruses.

    Windows 8.1 X64 Sonar Platinum x64
    Custom built: Asrock z97 1150 - Intel I7 4790k - 16GB corsair DDR3 1600 - PNY SSD 220GB
Focusrite Saffire 18I8 - Mackie Control
