im learning to record myself since people simply dont have time.
so i know how to set it up, but i dont know how to see the eq on the mids and lows or use the compressor= because i hear a throbing noise when i record on my go-mic by samsung. Please someone help me kick off my music.

Welcome! You should start by listing your gear specs. OS, CPU, soundcard and what CW software you are using. Have you done the tutorials? You say you "know how to set it up" - set up what? Do you mean also driver and latency settings? What driver mode are you using? Using a USB mic can be tricky, because your computer sees it as a soundcard, and two soundcards often make things unstable and hard to sync. Most of us have learned mostly by ourselves, you can't expect something else, can you?. There's a 1900 page manual (reference guide pdf download), tutorials and videos. It takes patience, effort and a few years of your time. And whenever you don't understand some specific function or explanation, you'll get help here.

What software - DAW- are you using. One supposes it is SONAR, but there are differnet versions of it.
Throbbing noise? Sounds cool. But I don't know what a "go mic" is - usb I suppose from Kalle. If that is the case, such mics aren't usually very good recording instruments. Also, what are you listening with? If you are using an onboard soundcard, you already have big problems.
As Kalle says, list some specs so that we can make suggestions about the cool throbbing noise. Also, what you are trying to accomplish. Are you singing/rapping over preset music? Making your own music? How? Etc. etc.
It sounds like there is a long way to go here, but there are a lot of good, helpful people on the forum.

heheh, you and everybody else on this board!
Or the money..... The reason I started into home recording was the cost of studio time. As a songwriter, I could not afford to drop $500 per song on studio time. I realized that for the cost of a few mediocre studio sessions, I could buy my own gear and learn to do this at home. Judge for yourself if it was a worthwhile investment on my songs page. That is exactly what most here have done. With a bit of talent and some software and hardware...... we create. Getting good at it takes time and practice, and there are many here to help.
