save, close, re-open in order to hear fx

Hi, I use X2a Producer. I've never had a problem before, but I am starting to have a weird annoying glitch. Sometimes, not always, but sometimes I'll add a reverb or EQ or even open up a compressor in the prochannel and I don't hear the effect at all. Nothing is being sent to the reverb, for example. After I save, close and re-open, I can now see the signal going into the reverb and hear the effect. It doesn't appear to be a consistent occurrence. I can't seem to replicate it all of the time.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions for trying to fix this another more elegant way?

Thanks in advance for the help and advice.

What did you do? I was recording last night and all of a sudden all the effects went dry. I panicked and saved it as a backup. When I re-opened that backup file all the effects came back.
