SI Strings Crashing Sonar X2 Producer

This isn't a biggie, but just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to fix it. In my Instruments panel, I have two entries for SI String Section. The one below the dotted line with the rest of my VST's works fine with no problems, but every now and then I accidentally pick the one that is grouped above the line with Cyclone, Dimension Pro, PSYNII etc etc. What ends up happening is it brings up the Insert Soft Synth Options dialogue box, I'll click OK and it gives me this big error message. I've tried to send a crash report, but even that gets halfway through sending and then locks up as well and I end up having to force stop and shut down Sonar. I have the X2a update applied and that didn't fix it. Anyone else come across this before or know how to get rid of the selectable SI Strings entry so I don't pick it in the future?

Sounds like an old DXi version from a previous version of a Cakewalk product. The stuff above the VST line are DX instruments. You might want to go into the Plugin manager and exclude the plugin, the DX version will never be updated.

Thanks Scook! So I went into the plugin manager and into the DXi folder. Clicked on the SI-Strings and saw that the path for the filename is exactly the same as the VSTi version and points to the same .dll file. Anyway, how do I remove it from the Instrument list? I clicked on it under the layout box on the right and hit remove. It then asks me to save the layout and I do, but it still appears under my instruments panel after the fact. Tried a refresh with F5 and that didn't change it either.

Ahhh.....got it! I hit Exclude on the lower left and it took a bit to update. All good now!
