installed a new SSD... Questions about reconfiguring

Is it best to simply uninstall Sonar and reinstall sonar if I want all my data stuff to be on the SDD drive?  Seeing some strange behavior so wondering If a reinstall of Sonar and all extra stuff I have is in order... Here is the problem I'm seeing

I moved my cakewalk\audio folders to the new hard drive and set the Global Projects folder in the Settings dialog to point to this new folder. 
I opened up a project that I had been working, I'm getting audio but my Superior Drums wont play from within Sonar.  However, if I load up my Superior Drums outside of sonar, I can get them to play fine in the Toontrack Solo player.

Again, would a fresh install be the way to go here?  Not only that, but I'd like to ensure that all VSTs, all of Sonar's library files are all on this new SSD as well.  As I understand it, it's best to have Sonar run off my main hard drive, but all the libs and what not to be stored on the SSD... yes?

I have more patience for uninstalling and reinstalling than I do trying to tinker around with config settings and what not.

That's a fair size for a SSD Rick.

I would load the OS, Progs, Plugins and all Cakewalk Content onto the SSD and use the HDD for your Cakewalk Projects.

There's little or no benefit from having these on the SSD

I got me an SSD about two weeks ago and did a fresh reinstall of X2. I let X2 install everything on the SSD and have all my Projects on the HDD. Everything's running smooth as a baby's butt ;)

Yup, similar.  Full X2 & libraries installed to SSD on Windows 7 (x64) and everything is super smooth.  I also use the SSD for the 'Cakewalk Projects' folder, but as I finish each project, I move the whole project over to my HDD Raid 0 drives for permanent storage and also back-up the project to external USB Drives. 

You are SO much better doing a fresh install. It really only takes a couple of hours. Then you make an image of it at different point for the future.

Do a full backup & make an image NOW so in case of disaster you can get back. Then do a full clean install. Format your HDD before starting. Make a note of all your registration numbers, authorisation codes etc.  It might be a good idea to check you've got all the necessary installers in one place so you can easily launch them from one place.
