I love songs that tell a true story. I love this song. Great job on the mix. Sounded great on my pc speakers. Maybe bring up the vocal a bit.

BobV - Thanks a lot. Yeah, I wish this sing wasn't true but sadly, it is. Glad you liked it! I'm still working on the mix, there might be a bit too much FX on the vox, I'll work on that. Dan - Much appreciated. The solo is about the fifth or sixth take, took me that long to realize I just needed to keep it simple. Herb - Thanks for the comments. Get on that "non-PC" song, I'd love to hear it! BTW: The keys aren't me, that's my studio buddy, goes by the name of Ebony Z. Ivory (not his real name, obviously). We used to play together, he's a high school band director now and helps me out from time to time.

Great song! Clearly talented and experienced musicians all, very entertaining, right on the money in this blues style.
This is a TINY possible adjustment: I really like your piano player, LOTS of musical interest in there throughout.
To my ears, the piano is slightly behind the guitar in the sound stage picture, whereas I'd like to hear all those licks just slightly in front of the chord-vamping guitar.
A little bit more punch and brightness in the piano part? Maybe just a touch each of compression and EQ in about 3kHz-6 or 7kHz. Just a bit, let me hear that great pianist.

Love the vocals .... reminds me a bit of Iggy or Bowie. Great tune, piano is spot on for this tune as is the guitar solo. Great lyrics as well ... Nicely done! backup horns really take this one home.

Great track - I agree with UltimateMusicSnob about the piano (but I'm a biased pianist!) but apart from that it all sounded good to me! Cheers, Terry.

That's not a terrible dream? That's a nightmare... Love that piano. The lead guitar was good too. That blues band gets pretty big with a horn section, but they use um "just like this."

Nicely done. Another vote for bringing up that excellent piano, especially when it takes the solo, I'd automate it front and centre there.

Great beat on this song! I was tapping it all the way. Great production and mix. Loved the piano and guitar solos. Now I feel the same way about the politicians and the blues, but don't let me get started.

And do we ever have the blues from our politicians - what a mess. But this song is so well done - the playing is really nice - great mix.
