Maybe someone might know if there is a setting somewhere I need to make????

More than likely Ken other folks are having a party with your connection ... you need to secure your WIRELSS connection so it's not open to all the neighbors ... and your password needs to be HARD AND TOUGH ... and we're talking @$#%W$GDEFS#$%ERTrwpj for example, which will take 3 months for anyone to crack! Not aware that the QOS setting is that important, but it would create a "loop" to make sure it could protect the specified flows of data ... which ... yeah ... would slow down some of the through put ... but mostly only the one that mattered, and not the rest ... but either way that's tough coding for a router and it will slow you down, but as much as you suggested? ... I doubt it!

I have the ability to do "wireless" but it is disabled ... and you want to know how many connections have gotten on it since I started that router 9 months ago? ... yep .. NONE!

Check the connection icon in your computer on the bottom right and it will show you "available connections" and more than half of them are not secure!

Compare the connections ... computer direct to modem ... and then computer through router ... any difference, you know that the router is the problem ... no difference, you know the router is doing its job! That's how you know. On the "Gateway" units (both modem and router) it is a bit tougher and I do not have the experience with them.

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

Hey Ed, I know you've got your own domain (I originally typed it in to see if it was available so I could suggest that you get it and... you already had it!) so you should be able to get your own email address(es) from that.  Then you just need to have any others auto-forwarded to new ones you create.  I've found that the forwarding seems to continue long after my accounts/other domains expired (YMMV naturally ;-)

Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!
