Help Please

Hello i have  Roland BK5; Boss VE 20; Shure SM58; Cakewalk vs 100 and Sonar X2 Producer to do some music production in a home studio.
Can you give me te more effective way to link al these together?
Cakewalk VS100 to Pc with USB (no questions there )
a) Shure Mic to Boss VE20 to BK5 then to VS100? or Mic to Boss VE20 then direct to VS 100?
 
b) Roland BK5 conect with both midi (in and out) to VS100 and also the line jacks from BK5 to Input 3L and 4R in the VS100 or Roland BK5 to VS100 only with the Jacks from Roland BK5 to Input 3L/4R in the VS100 without the midi conection?
 
3) The conections for the mic...which work best? the 1/4 jack input to the Boss VE20 or the 3 Pin? the same for conection to the VS100?
 
Please help
I know about music perfomance bur little abour interface and studio assembly.
