(medicare, Social Security, you know.  Any and all vets out there  THANK YOU for your service.  God Bless. Clint

    Welcome, Clint.
You can import MP3's, but the other formats are visual images, and not something a program like Sonar can work with.
What does a picture sound like?
You can work with MP3, wav, and the audio tracks of video files. And MIDI, which I suspect you may find very useful.
Give us a rundown on what you are hoping to do, and we can try to offer some guidance.
    Some important questions:
Which version of LE do you have? They're not all the same
Any system information you can provide will be helpful. What is your operating system(XP, Vista, Windows 7/8)?
What hardware did you get Sonar LE with?
Don't be afraid to bore us with details. The more we know, the better we can help.

Mentioning scanning, pdf and tiff makes me think maybe you're in need of something like PowerPOint to combine pictures and audio??

How and why would anyone need to scan a picture into a DAW? Or, if you're talking about scanning sheet music, you need to turn to the more serious notation software like Sibelius, which can receive scannded notation. SONARs notation capabilities are somewhat limited.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

    Robert B:
Sorry im so slow.  I have sonar Le 8.5, and the soundboard is an allen heath.  I was mainly trying to do some transposing and coverting to written stuff, which this won't do apparently.  Myself and our music director are old hippies who play by ear and pretty much use numbers and yell keychanges.  we have several of our musicians who only read music and play it as written..  just trying to get some of our stuff on paper for them.  open to suggestions. thanx.  Clint
