Handy way to find loop region - see the video (Future Music Mag)

Around 4.10, Fred Falke defined a region on the drum groove (start/end point), then he proceed to move the region to other part of the groove to audition similar length loops.. Is this possible in Sonar / X2 ?

I seldom use loop, more on drums programming - but the beginning of the video shows a good way to cut longer loops to your needs easily.

If you drag along the time ruler to select a region, then press shift+L it will set loop points.  There will be a yellow bar on the time ruler showing the loop area.

You can grab this yellow bar and move it around like he does in the video.  It will follow snap settings, I think.

    Is that what you wanted?

The loop area (yellow line) will move this way, just that :

    1. Playback/timeline will start at the beginning of the loop if the yellow line is dragged backward; but if dragged forward, playback/timeline won't jump ahead, instead it starts at the current stopped location. This is normal is most cases, but for auditioning grooves like the video, playback following the loop area (either moving backward or forward) would be much more handy.

    2. Wondering if there is a way to copy a particular track only on the selected loop area - so a smaller loop can be copied to another track, like the video.
