Setting up VRM Box

I'm using X2 Producer with a Focusrite 2i2. I can't figure out what I'm supposed to set up to get playback through the VRM Box. I have to deselect the 2i2 drivers for both play and record in order to select the playback driver for the VRM Box. Once it's selected, I get an error saying 'Unable to opem audio playback device. Device may not spoort the current project's audio format, or may be in use', if I try to play something recorded with the 2i2. What's the secret to getting this to work? Thanks heaps!

What Driver Mode are you using?

In addition to know the driver mode you're using, I would also like to know what you have set as the playback device in Windows.

If the VRM box is set to be the playback device in Windows, and the Windows playback is set to use a sample rate other than the sample rate being used in sonar, it can cause the error message you are getting.  If this is the case, you can change the sample rate on the advanced tab of the properties of the VRM box via the playback device tab of Windows' sound control pannel.

Thanks Matt! I had the sample rate at 48000 in the Focusrite USB ASIO control panel. Changing that to match everything else got it working. Just FYI - I changed the bit rates in Windows just to test it, and it worked in 16 or 24 bit once I had changed the ASIO panel, and I have speakers set as the default playback device, but it works fine regardless of what I set as the playback. Seriously cool device =)
