I got more Donovan than Bolan, but its all good.

Your SC picture is quite menacing.

Nice one, Ben.  I like your arrangement and use of strings.  Your voice sounds good, too.

Hi Guys, thanks for all the positive messages.  I am finally getting there with this mixing caper.

James, Donovan, yes I didn't think of that I thought Bolan because of the strings.

KP, well nothing special.  A Rode NT2a into a very basic MOTU ultralite preamp-Guitar and an SM58 into same preamp for vox.  So its the singer and the guitarist, me not the tools!!  On saying that the Pro Channel compressor and EQ's are brilliant, I couldn't believe my ears when I put the compressor over the guitar, it just pinged.  I knew they were good, so much so I got rid of UAD card and the few plugs I had recently but I didn't know how good.  The other stuff I used was the pys synth which sits under everything, slighty detuned, if you listen hard you can sort of hear a mower sound underping everything.  The main bass is a Muon Tau free 303 emulator, which I played in.  The strings are notion 3.  The lead guitar is Guitar Rig 4 using a the high white amp, basicly the sound of Brittsh rock and pop in the 60's and 70's.  There is a bit of delay and ring modulation on that is well.  Then I have used the linear phase EQ on the master buss.  I have then mastered the track using my outboard compressor an TL Audio A2.  And finally the tape sound at the end was done in Reaper just before mastering.

    Cheers Ben

A bit different buy has a unique sound to it, especially the ending. I liked when the electric guitar kicked in. Nice clear production. Good vocals. Enjoyed this song for its uniqueness.

Peace be with you. Blessings, John
