Falling Star pt. 2
After languishing in the P5 section, I'm posting this one here. Electronica, I suppose. A simple love song. The singer wants to re-do one note, but otherwise finished. Thanks for any input. Top of the list in my sig or right here: https://soundcloud.com/#rm101-1 @

Wow, this is excellent! One of the best female singers I've heard on this forum, superb. I'm sure there are bands in this genre you could point me to, but this style of vocal over a grungy, dark electronica backing is new to me - and I really like it.

Nice. Enjoyed that. Very epic. As always, I find vibrato dangerous... it can make or break a song. This one is close to the border. Fortunately is in key and works, but I would prefer it be uses a bit less. I know peoples egos are locked in and this feedback will be dismissed, but maybe somebody somewhere will hear it.

James, thanks. I liked her so much I married her, but just not for the voice. My songs are all over the place, stylistically, but I do like Portishead & Goldfrapp. A less well-known band is Ruby Rough. German guy and Boston girl. They do electronica (not so much dance stuff) w/ her vocals over the top. I'm sure there lots of others, too. Fox - yea, it is right on the edge. I wasn't sold on the vocals at first, but ended up liking them. I'll keep that virbrato mind. @

AT, That was way different for sure. Very interesting sounds and some very awesome vocals. Dark for sure, foreboding to say the least. Very unique sound for this song. Nice production work. It really caught me of guard. Nice one. Peace be with you. Blessings, John

This is awesome AT. I liked this a lot. The vocals are exceptional and contrasted with the grungy backing track to create something truly magical. Great inventiveness in this track. The mix sounds excellent on my speakers. Top track.

Very dark and interesting tune... kinda' like electronica with an almost middle eastern like thing going on...all this intended as a compliment . Very edgy track and the singer keyed right into it, and that's what makes for a really good recording. Very well done IMHO.

I love this song and her voice. I don't mind the vibrato if it's well done, and this definitely is. She reminds me of the vocalist for the British band Curve who were popular in the 90's. Yet, the song makes this come to life. Terrific writing and engineering! I will listen to this a few more times.

Her vibrato is the type I like. It's not that "fast, seemingly uncontrolled" vibrat. It fits perfectly. IMHO, of course. A different song than I've heard for awhile. "The porch light turns itself on". Ha, I love that! Very well done.
