GP-100 and patch editor

I'm working with the free patch editor for the GP-100 and I reached a point where the unit is downloading patches to the application. The display on the unit says 'Data Sending' but nothing gets sent or it never completes.

Does anyone know what MIDI channel it would be sending on by default? Maybe I have the wrong channel selected.

Thanks - rev

    Usually it's 1.

Make sure you have your MIDI cables set up properly (In to Out and Out to In).

Then  Set the MIDI OUT/THRU option in the GP-100's Utility menu to MIDI OUT.
Run the program; select the proper MIDI channel and ports from the program's main menu.

    Dave:

Did all that per the application's Quick Start but what I described is what I get - nothing.

I even left it on overnight in case I was being impatient :) but no cigar.

The unit still said, 'Data Sending' in the morning (so at least I know the MIDI cable communication is working) but I got nothing.

What version of Windows do you have? I suspect that software is out of date and may not work with the newer versions of Windows.
