Is this a bug?

my vsti drum 'instrument' track has reoccuring issue with input echo. even though it is deselected with echo off, my midi controller triggers its sounds. only turning off the midi controller in the input selection window stops it. also, the input echo then will not light up or function. this is X2 w7 64bit. also second bug, setting a small second long loop crashes the soundcard

if you deselect loop button while short loop is running its sonic blitzkrieg. both issues come up after running for 30mins or more. p.s. this forum text window works like ass with my samsung tablet !

Not sure what you mean about your second issue - what soundcard are you using?

As for Chuck's answer to your first issue, I think he's referring to the Edit-Preferences-MIDI-Playback and Recording-"Always Echo Current MIDI Track checkbox, but I cannot be sure.

If the track you are hearing is in focus when you are experiencing this, then un-checking that might help.

What does the input echo button look like on this track?  There are three possible settings - Input echo on - (button blue) small dot with three arcs, Input echo auto thru - (button blue)  dot, with three arcs over an up arrow, and Input echo off - (grey button) small dot with three arcs.

thanks guys. this is definitely a glitch. the echo button goes from working normally to being permanently off...its almost as if some corruption occurs in a project over time. i had the same repeatable issue in X1. the button stays completely grey and wont allow turn on in any state...yet samples still play until input is turned to 'none'. as far as the second issue goes, make a small selection of like a second of material. now hit the marker defined loop button to start loop. let it repeat for a minute or so ( i do this when checking snare envelopes). now hit the loop button again to disengage loop. chaos every time. this is on octacapture set at 256 buffer. happens on both midi and audio tracks.
