Older Cakewalk tracks in Sonar X2

I used to record MIDI in a very old Cakewalk program (prior to clips, even).  These tracks play in Sonar X2 Essential, but they don't STOP at the end of the recorded music as they used to do in the older Cakewalk version!  How do I fix this?  I'm making a GIANT leap from the old software to the most current!  Thanks a zillion!!!

most of the time the cause is due to some kind of event beyond what you think the end of the song is.  an envelope, or a MIDI event of some kind beyond the "end"

look at your envelopes and your MIDI event data and see if you can find something beyond the end of the song.

[Track view] Options > Stop at Project End
When this option is checked, playback will automatically stop after the last event in the project is reached. When this option is unchecked, playback will continue beyond the end of the project and playback can also be started in an empty project.
