Amplitube Basic Help

Hi, I have recently bought MC6 as my first DAW and found it generally intuitive and easy to get started with. The only problem has been to get AmpliTube to work. In the right hand menu box, under Plugins tab after hitting the Audio FX button I can see the options (Delay, compression, EQ......Guitar Amp Simulator folders with their enclosed FX such as AmpliTube3 CS but I can't do anything with them. Have tried right clicking, double clicking, dragging and dropping but absolutely nothing happens. Your help on this basic question would be great

i am guessing that you will need to insert a new audio track before you can drag any of the effects into the effects area. the audio track doesnt need to have sound; just that it must be there to enable the effects box area. just make sure you do not drag the audio effects into any MIDI tracks as they wouldnt function there.

hope this helps... as i am writing from memory. also just browsed thru the MC6 product page which looks very similar to Sonar, so again just guessing...

    Welcome to the forum.
Try right-clicking in the audio track's effects (FX) bin and selecting the desired effect there.

The guys nailed it, I guess. Only soft synths can be inserted by clicking "Insert> Soft synth" and then all necessary tracks are created automatically according to your needs. Effects are dragged/inserted in the FX bins of existing tracks.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
