Re-records audio from previous track onto my new track doubling the sound...

Hey guys, I am using the Roland Quad-Capture and SONAR X1 LE. I recorded my one audio track with acoustic guitar and it sounds great. I then go to record my next audio track for vocals, but when I listen to it in play back, it seems that SONAR has re-recorded the acoustic guitar onto the vocal track also. I am using headphones too so it should not be picking up any play back of the acoustic guitar while I record my vocals. What am I doing wrong? Is there something messed up with my inputs and outputs for audio? Or is it just something completely different? HELP!! -Zach

    Welcome, Zach.
Are you using the ASIO driver mode? That would make the Quad the exclusive audio device and help prevent that sort of thing.
Are your headphones open back? If so, they will leak profusely, and a moderately sensitive mic will easily pick it up.
Describe your setup, connections, I/O settings, etc. It's possible you have a signal routing issue, but these are usually easy to correct.

RobertB, excellent! Haha I had this huge paragraph typed out for you about my set up and stuff and how I didn't know what ASIO driver mode was. And then I just looked it up in the help menu and switched it over, and now everything works perfectly. Thank you so much!
