Superior Drummer Setup

Hi folks, I have Superior Drummer 64 bit installed, and scanned into Sonar X2 Producer. What are the next steps to utilize the drum program with my Roland TD8 module and drum pads? I'm new at using Sonar (approximately 10 months) and I have never connected anything MIDI to it. Thanks for your help in advance. All the best.

Hey MickyD, which MIDI interface are you using?

That will be the 1st step.

Myself, I have the Roland TD-6 and SD 2.

Ok, so you really only need one MIDI cable connected from the MIDI Out of the TD 8 into the MIDI In of the Quad capture.

    Have you connected that yet?

This is how its done in protools. Should be the same in sonar. Midi out of drum trigger into your audio interface using the midi connection.
Load superior and select the mid track and set i to the midi in of your sound device or omni. That should work.

Yes. I'm all set now to connect the MIDI cable. I will need to know how to progress once I open up Sonar X2. Really appreciate the input!
