xp to Win 7

Hi guys - I'm in the process of moving to Win 7 & unclear about where files should be located. Will the installation automatically put them in the correct folders? I am moving from 32 bit to 64 & don't know if that makes a difference. what about VST's? Most of my old ones are probably 32 bit & I just had them in a VST folder in My Music, but now there seems to be separate places for 32 & 64 bits.. Also all my work that I created in old Cakewalk DAW's (Guitar Tracks Pro) - I want to be able to import into Sonar - should they be in the same folder as Sonar projects? Thanks for any advice!!

Windows 7 did some things differently for example: 32-bit program go into c:\program files (x86)\ and 64 bit programs go into c:\programs files\. Fortunately Sonar will sort that out for you and put them in the right places if you left it install in the default folders, which I recommend. It shouldn't matter where your projects are stored.
