SONAR Staff going to still do seminars
i live in boston ground zero for cakewalk. and have attended seminars at guitar center , it was great to see the folks where i live who use sonar and i have some great contacts from this yearly event. SO (IMO)since the staff changes i wonder how il get in on a sonar x2 sessions. or if there will be anymore ever, there is nothing in the list of events at GC, and i havent heard a peep here on the forum.this should have been sent to a staff member, but all the ones i know are gone. anyone ever go to one by the way

I think it would be cool if Roland started inviting some musicians in to a studio to show us all how they record a session. Presonus is doing stuff like that all the time these days and they have some really great musicians stopping by their studio. The web stream could all be switched live on a Roland streaming video console.

I don't get the impression that Roland cares all that much about Cakewalk.
There's no mention of Cakewalk products on Roland's home page.
And the second sentence of the description of their flagship V-Studio 700 is
"At the heart of the system is SONAR 8 Producer, the leading DAW in the market today. "

I wonder if Roland fears that Cakewalk Touch is a threat to their hardware market. Certainly, I'm looking forward to it instead of a midi controller. I don't think virtual keys will replace a real keyboard ever, but samplers... why not?
StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen. I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Well, we'll just have to wait and see when the next iteration of SONAR comes out. If I remember right, they did it for X1 but not X2 - here in Dallas anyway. Mike used to do local stops, but he is gone. There were only ever a couple of people at them, so it wasn't that big of a deal to lose (from Roland/Cake perspective anyway). despite the loss of their public faces, I imagine they have someone left that can show their face at shows. @

And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
