Sonar LE Freezes up along with my machine - then monitor screen goes blank when recording

Hi everyone. I sure could use some help. Here is my system info: PC Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, SP1 AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.30 Ghz, 4 GB of RAM, Audio Interface: Edirol UA-25, Video Card: EVGA GeForce GT 610 1024MB GDDR3, Video Monitor: Asus VS229H-P 22-Inch-Class (21.5") LED Monitor Plugged into HDMI port, but freeze also occurs when I'm plugged into the DVI port. So, Sonar LE loads up just fine and allows me to choose a saved project or open a new one. When I load up a saved project that has a few tracks on it (8+) Sonar doesn't even play it. I hit the play button and nothing happens. When starting a new project and arming it to record, Sonar LE will play everything for a few seconds and then just freeze. My whole machine will freeze for about 2-3 minutes, then my monitor will go black for about 10 seconds, then it will come back up. A message shows up near my little NVIDIA Settings icon that says something like: "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered." But my machine is still frozen. I can't even get to the task manager. I brought up my resource monitor to see what's going on when I try to use Sonar LE and record. CPU Usage goes up to about 20% usage, but Disk Usage bounces between 6% and completely pegged. What is happening here? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

First, consider the fact that few (if any) users are on here reporting the problem, which should indicate that this is a problem with your equipment and not with Sonar.  The first set of solutions to those who have seen similar problems has been:
 
1) Make sure that your Windows in updated.
2) Make sure your video drivers are updated to the most recent version.
3) Run a memory test on your computer to make sure that its memory is not flakey.
4) Run a disk check on your hard drives.
4) Monitor your CPU temperature to see if it is becoming overly hot (blocked/dirty heat sinks - iffy fans).
5) Make sure that you have the most recent version of the drivers for your UA-25.
 
This really sounds like hardware that is in the process of its death throws to me.  Blocked cooling could be responsible or memory that is suffering a bit of altzheimers.

Thanks for the welcome and for the responses. :) This is a custom build. I have a new 500watt power supply. 1. Windows has been updated. 2. Video drivers have been updated to the most recent. 3. Memory test results show no issues with memory. 4. Disk check shows no issues. 4.1 The highest temperature I've seen one of the two cores hit was 122 degrees F at 97% load. 5. Latest UA-25 drivers were downloaded again this morning. It didn't fix the issue. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Sonar LE and that also didn't fix it. Sonar LE continues to freeze and lately today it just gives up and closes. I am suspecting some sort of software corruption.

Quick update. It was as I suspected. faulty software. I've had problems with this LE disc that came with my UA25 before in the past - it would work for a year or two and then just go wonky. Usually, I just would uninstall and reinstall and it would work for a while. I bought some different recording software and it works just fine. . . and it demands more of my machine than LE did.
