Jlien X Hmm....I've just spent a few minutes making very large movements, hitting the left side of the pane, at different sections of the project, but I don't see any serious problem (it behaves a little awkward once in a while, but it's definitely not a mess-up). Same here. I have my track view etc spread over two monitors, and can happily drag the full width of both screens without issue, so I'm not sure why your (Paul P) experience is so different.

Well, that's interesting.
Guess I should reinstall Windows :-)

I just tried this on my real machine, the one in specs below, and it works a lot better, but I can still get it to screw up if I try hard enough. On my Dell Latitude laptop (i5,4gb) it's bad more or less right away, all the time. So, given your comments, I'd say you're just not applying yourselves sufficiently :-)

To see if I could help you, I spent precious time, scrolling back and forth like a mad man, to see if I could reproduce your issues. I could not. My bad, I must have been doing it wrong. It seems to be working okay here. If I get time tomorrow, between work, I'll do my best to see if I can break it. Here's to a day of happy scrolling. :-)

jb101, I believe you :-) I had this insight earlier this evening that it might have something to do with the mice being wireless, on my laptop it's bluetooth and my desktop usb, so I tried a wired mouse on the desktop expecting the best. It was worse, just as bad as with my laptop. So how do you go about explaining something like this. Two completely different machines with nothing in common, the software was downloaded twice, etc, with the same problem. But others, like yourselves, have no problems. It's weird.

SteveC, the laptop has Intel graphics onboard the i5 and the desktop has a Radeon card. When the problem occurs, the most obvious symptom is that the vertical line that indicates where you started from no longer moves past a certain point when moving to the right. Often it's the center at first, then the limit point moves more and more to the left. If I go really softly and try to keep the mouse within the track pane things work reasonably well. It's times when moving quickly to one end or another of the project while zooming to get there faster that seems to confuse the program. I can live with it, but I'd prefer it worked well since I'm already used to the functionality.
