"Hungry Eyes" (Alt Rock)

Hello All! Instead of releasing a whole album or EP, my band is trying to just work on one single song at a time, here is the first track we've put together so far. No it has nothing to do with that movie. All recorded on Sonar X2. Let me know how it sounds, if there's any suggestions with the mix, writing, or such. Thanks!

I like the guitar intro, but once you start singing, there is a noticeable drop in the guitar loudness. The trick is to drop it with eq and not really the fader, IYKWIM.
Bass is a bit boomy at around 220hz, I think. Pull it back some there and it might sit a tad better.
Overall, there is a balance issue with the left guitar being too heavy.
The song is good, excellent use of dynamics. Love the big sing along around 3:21.

This really sounds professional on my monitors.  The energy level is high, and the performances are killer.  Terrific song.

    All the best,

This is very good indeed and very pro-sounding to my ears.  I also hear some bass booming, but not enough to detract for me.  You would be wise to take the advice of jamesyoyo as he knows what he's talking about when it comes to mixing and production.

Great work and good luck with the band.

ooohhh man. I love this. Fantastic. Ahhh... I'm floating on a cloud of musical bliss. I could live here for a while. Thank you, I needed that. Frankly, I stopped listening to the mix after the first phrase I was just enjoying the song too much. I am sure it is fine. :)

I think if you lower the bass everything else will balance itself out. The bass is just too over bearing with all the other instrumentation. Great  song, enjoyed it much.

Thanks for the feedback so far everyone, I appreciate it greatly. I had a feeling the bass might be a bit too much (my bassist kept telling me he couldn't hear the bass!) Jamesyoyo, in the guitar intro, there is no change to the guitar volume/tone when the vocals come in, I'm curious if that's what you heard? I'll continue to listen to the mix more carefully. Also, does anyone know if cakewalk forum email subscriptions are working?
