X2 update

I have bought the X2 update. Can I use the Dimension Pro 1.5 set and expansion pack from Sonar X1?

Yes, they are plugins, so can still use files from older versions (I *think* DP 1.5 came with X2 though, but cannot remember now). X1 and X2 run independently, so unless you are hurting for file space, I would NOT recommend uninstalling X1. X2 as it loads will actually use your preferences from X1. I still use VST plugins from SONAR 7 at times. In X2, you can simply add paths to the old VST's in the VST plugin and scan those folders manually in the preferences (or even allow them to scan each time X2 starts).

I have already uninstalled Sonar X1 sometime now. I have the Dimension Pro 1.5 from since then. I just want to know if I can use that instead of downloading the one with X2.

Yes, the DimPro that shipped with X1 is identical to the version shipping with X2, including the expansion packs.

I'm sure that my memory is flawed here, but it seems that I had DimPro LE with X1 but got the regular DimPro with X2.  I had to remove the LE version as it quit working, but with the standard version the only issue was having to change the synth in the projects.

DimPro has shipped with SONAR Producer for some time. DimLE ships with other SONAR versions. The version of DimPro that shipped with SONAR X1 Producer and SONAR X1 Producer Expanded is the same version that ships with SONAR X2 Producer. You could even use the version of DimPro that shipped with SONAR 8.5 Producer or earlier versions that included DimPro, patch it via the Dimension Support page to v1.5 and you would be running the same version that ships with X2.
