IK has added 4 new modules for mac and pc users!
The white channel which is supposed to be another version of an SSL The tape echo which emulates an echoplex delay the master bus which is the SSL master bus compressor I think we all expected in this update and the updated GUI for the British channel which many people begged for. I am happy with this. And the delay is cheap too $60! Can't wait to play with these this weekend. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/trcs/

Only 60 credits, not dollars. Depending how much you spend on credits it could be a lot cheaper than $60. Thanks for spreading the word though! LOVING the DELAY DElay lay ay ay ay...

Picked up the Tape Echo. I'll keep ya posted on results. Welp...it's just as noisy as my old analog unit. Which is OK (sometimes) but there definitely needs to be a preferences switch to TURN THE NOISE OFF!!!

I have just updated T-Racks CS Grand to version 4.1. But I find that if I want to purchase the 3 upgrades that Custom Shop is needed not the authorization manager. My music computer as it's not connected to the internet. For my previous IK Multimedia purchases I just used my internet computer and the IK authorization manager on my music computer. Until IK Multimedia sort out Custom Shop to be used on non-internet music computers. I and others will not be able purchase upgrades to T-Racks CS Grand which we authorized throught authorization manager.

We currently have an offline process and the majority of users can use it. There are instances where it doesn't transfer over correctly, we are working on that and should be fixed in the coming update. Til then, for the majority of people with the Custom Shop its working fine.

It looks like they have a hidden sale if you want all three of the new ones. If you buy $200 of credits, you'll have enough credits for all three.

@yorolpal Truth be told I'm having no issues with it. Sounds like the real thing. Tape echos are noisy. Genres that used them a lot aren't exactly crystal clear either. A big one that comes to mind is Reggae/dub music, they used these types of delays over modern digital and cleaner ones for their sound. Still do to this day. So, noise? Yes, I notice some. But compared to the originals, this is spot on. In a mix, it'll just be a part of the character of the mix and won't really be that noticeable.

I'm with ya Obi...it just seems to me (and many other plugins are guilty of this) that it would be all too easy to just have a button to "denoise" the plug if desired. Afterall, the thing that all of us hated back in the bad old days was that we couldn't get the hum out of our gear. I'll ask again for you guys to take a hint from Waves (for instance) and add a button to turn off the hum. It may be historically accurate...but it's still (mostly) not needed or wanted.

I'm with you Ol'Pal. If there was a choice back then of the exact same gear but one had noise and the other didn't, the noisy ones would still be on the shelves.

If you buy $200 of credits, you get enough credits to get all three. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what I read in the credits pricing page in custom shop.

well, i don't know ... i still like the t-racks a lot and bought the cs grand upgrade, which i also like and use a lot ... but i'm so tired of that custom shop crap; just recently i had to rebuild a daw and guess what: out of all installation packages the only one not working was the bloody ik custom shop i.e. i could authorize and lock a license to the new machine, but not get the VST installed at all - by coincidence it did work a few days later; no clue why then and not earlier? ... and to market those new tools just via the custom shop is another stupid idea. if it wouldn't be for this forum i hadn't even found out about those new modules; without lauching that custom shop, you can't even find a price quote on the web ... and (my current estimate of) close to 200 EUR for these modules is way too steep in relation to what i paid for the rest of the suite

I'm pretty new to all of this stuff, but I like the Custom shop. It's quick to try out stuff without having to guess or download trials. I have learned my lesson with daw software though and I'll wait for the Christmas sales. I hope to upgrade to grand, upgrade melodyne and maybe we will have some new PC modules by then. I would like to have that pc2a, but I'm not going to spend $99 for the ca2a compressor. There are to many free ones out there that.....I'm getting off topic.

@freeflybertle Compare the prices of competitors versions of these studio classics and you won't be complaining about price. You can buy all 3 of ours for far less than some companies charge for 1 of these. \ Plus, we like to think ours sound far better too. (At least to our ears, we'll let you guys decide for yourselves...)

I do, but its best if you post it on the IK forums for the devs to see themselves. Otherwise it gets lost in the list of other requests too in my requests emails. Plus you can do a better job of explaining why than I could.

No, I don't prefer it. Just giving you the best way to actually get heard instead of getting lost in a list of other feature requests. Its up to you, I just know the dev team lurks the IK forums quite often. Consider your idea already placed in my feature request list.

Hey Obi: I was in my Custom Shop looking around at the new modules and noticed that I could also go over to the Amplitube section and browse around there as well. In my browsing I discovered that we could purchase Amp Collections (like the Slash or Orange Collection) just with gear credits. In the past I understand that we can use Jam Points for up to 1/2 the price of a product. I thought I would ask you to make sure this is possible or not before I tried it, so here is my question for you: Within the Custom Shop, can we (also) use Jam Points for 1/2 the price of a collection AND use gear credits to pay for the other 1/2 of the collection? I have not tried to do this yet, but if it is possible I might get to use some of my JamPoints before they expire. So can we use gear credits and Jampoints together in the Custom Shop for purchase of collections or individual products? Thanks in advance for whatever the answer is.

You can use Jam Points to purchase half off on credits, but not the individual collections.
