Is it best to install my interfaces before the Sonar?

Yes Otherwise when you're installing Sonar it will look for a non-existent interface.

Also make sure your interface is turned on. Maybe whisper some sweet nothings into its pre-amp or stick a plug into its input Cj

Bristol_Jonesey Yes Otherwise when you're installing Sonar it will look for a non-existent interface. What if I want to use the windows sound for now and worry about audio interface later. My goal is just to check out Sonar X2. Another thing is my Sonar producer Ver 5.0 files work but the sound is distorted and the time line does not move smoothly. Any ideas why please? Thanks

sargammusic, could you define "distorted" Also, it would help if you provided your system's specs. If your computer is up to it, you should be able to use your windows sound, though it may not be ideal.

that problem is fixed by installing Motu Hybrid Sound interphase. I have more questions. As I mentioned I upgraded from sonar producer 5.0 to Sonar producer X2. When I open my filkes saved in previous version, I get an error saying missings Cakewalk FxReverb. I dont have this effect any more. Is there a way to get it? Also how do i chnge the back ground of sonar? It is too dark. Is it possiuble to increase the font size with in Sonar?
