Hi Sharke, Isn't enough for you to know that a some of us think that you act like a horse's ass just to get attention? Can't you find some inspiration to modify your behavior, curtail the drama king rambling, and actually build some friendships here? I find the majority of your posts to be riddled with foolish contradictions that only you will be able to reconcile. You don't actually need any attention from any of us at this forum. You can live in your world of fantasy and delusion with out us so why burden this forum, which is filled with musicians, with a constant barrage of emo-babble about everything but music? The practice of insulting everyone you can reach isn't helping you evolve as person and it's making quite a mess here at this cross roads of musical interests. Of course, I say all this because I want to appear as some heroic knight in shinning armor and I want all the members of this forum to consider that I am doing some "gaining" on the status ladder by making the chivalrous point of telling you that I think your bad behavior is, well, bad behavior. Of course, I'm just making fun of myself so that after you levy that very accusation at me, again, that I can move forward and remind you that this is simply how communities work. Maybe we can all try to be grown ups. Sometimes, when people mention to other people that they are acting like drama kings, good things can happen and both parties come to some middle ground. You have choices... the first one you have made is to alienate people further. You still have choices. Good luck. best regards, mike edit grammar

mike_mccue Hi Sharke, Isn't enough for you to know that a some of us think that you act like a horse's ass just to get attention? I'm just expressing an opinion, and responding to things that others say that I disagree with. Then they disagree with me, and I disagree with them, and in normal circumstances that would just be a good old internet discussion, but it appears that there are a small number of people here who have a very narrow comfort zone. I find it very interesting that when someone's made a political comment (therefore technically violating the TOS) and I respond to it, it's me that gets it in the neck. It just seems that for some people, the odd political comment from others is just fine as long as it's something they agree with. Can't you find some inspiration to modify your behavior, curtail the drama king rambling, and actually build some friendships here? The irony of you calling me a "drama king," in light of this post, is off the scale. I find the majority of your posts to be riddled with foolish contradictions that only you will be able to reconcile. I find the majority of your posts to be riddled with foolish exaggerations. You don't actually need any attention from any of us at this forum. You can live in your world of fantasy and delusion with out us so why burden this forum, which is filled with musicians, with a constant barrage of emo-babble about everything but music? Not looking for "attention," nor do I live in a world of "fantasy and delusion." Those are just boilerplate internet insults - meaningless and without foundation. "Constant barrage of emo-babble about everything but music"? Again, who's really being the "drama king" here? Look around you - a huge proportion of posts in the Coffee House are about non-musical subjects. I've participated in many of them, as well as many of the music related ones. If you're going to launch a personal attack on someone Mike, is it too much to ask that you at least try to make it fact based? The practice of insulting everyone you can reach isn't helping you evolve as person and it's making quite a mess here at this cross roads of musical interests. I'm not "insulting everyone I can reach" at all Mike. You're just using exaggeration and outright lies in order to demonize me. "Isn't helping me evolve as a person"? There is a name for what you're doing here - "concern trolling." The first definition on this page describes it perfectly: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=concern+troll Of course, I say all this because I want to appear as some heroic knight in shinning armor and I want all the members of this forum to consider that I am doing some "gaining" on the status ladder by making the chivalrous point of telling you that I think your bad behavior is, well, bad behavior. Ah yes, the truth disguised as sarcasm. Brilliant! Of course, I'm just making fun of myself so that after you levy that very accusation at me, again, that I can move forward and remind you that this is simply how communities work. I know how communities work, Mike. Sometimes, people voice their disagreements with each other, and then a concern troll comes along and condescendingly suggests to one party (but not the others) that their opinion is causing trouble and perhaps they should pipe down a bit. Maybe we can all try to be grown ups. Sometimes, when people mention to other people that they are acting like drama kings, good things can happen and both parties come to some middle ground. You have choices... the first one you have made is to alienate people further. You still have choices. I'm one of those people who offends people who spend all day looking for offense. I'm a pretty harmless kind of guy - don't wish anyone harm, have never committed a crime, am pretty generous and charitable in nature, and never go out of my way to insult people. Sometimes I express views that go against the grain (so sue me), sometimes I make observations or say things that might offend extremely sensitive people of the kind who like to use the bogus emotion of "offense" to elevate themselves as a victim, with all of the social and political benefits that brings. Again, sue me. Another thing you should know that if someone attacks me, I fight back. Always have done. Whether or not that puts me in the minority on any particular issue or "consensus," is really no concern of mine. But I've had communication from others on this forum who have told me "not to worry" about one or two "holier than thou" members who take great delight in hectoring others and blowing things out of all proportion, and that it annoys them as well. I thank them for that.

sharke chuckebaby sharke Linear Phase That was totally insane. I can not believe how many units of police and federal agents were mobilized. That was easily, the largest manhunt ever, on American Soil. I have my thoughts that they not only killed suspect 1, and took custody of suspect 2, but they also brought down whatever associates that we are not really being told about. We do know they arrested 3 others. I do not think much of the story will ever be brought to light. Anyways, the media is so nuts. I really try not to watch news, because I find it nothing but exhausting, and negative, but I couldn't help but tune in to this extraordinary anti-terror event; but believe me, I'm worn out as all from that whole scene. I can just imagine some of these Fed Agents having been awake literally since Monday, with perhaps the odd power nap. That was incredible work on their parts. Sorted. Go USA The three they arrested were from New Bedford, apparently. I have to say that is one miserable, depressing place (at least the times I've passed through it, I've never seen so many glum faces). you might not understand there are folks on this forum from New Bedford. considering all they've been through this week your post could be considered offensive. its not just Boston, a lot of people in Massachusetts were at that finish line. And there were a lot of people from New York, too. However, I don't mind when people call New York a crime ridden hole. I'm telling the truth, New Bedford is a pretty glum looking place. If anyone's offended by that, I suggest they just block me and get on with their lives. compare if someone were to say that Brooklyn was one miserable, depressing place, a lot of glum faces after 911. just step back for one second and think about it. I don't mind when people make bad references to Boston or its surrounding city's either. I joke about my city Boston all the time. just not the same week as the bombing of the Boston marathon. please just give it a little time. im trying to keep my personal life out of this and put my personal feelings aside. but your choice of words and bad timing is obnoxious.

Chuckebaby. New Bedford is not Boston. It is over 50 miles away. It was not bombed. Boston was. I think the people of New Bedford (or people in general for that matter) have much thicker skin than you give them credit for. I very much doubt that any NB resident's thought process is going along the lines of "What a terrible week, not only was there a terrorist attack in a city 50 miles away, but someone called New Bedford miserable online." Like others, you're just looking for offense where there's none, and attacking me for it. Stop it.

A nice touch... A 30-second silence has been held at the London Marathon in honour of the Boston bombings' victims. Thousands lined the streets to see the runners set off from Blackheath, many wearing black ribbons on their vests. (BBC)

Stop it. you have got to be one of most inconsiderate people ive ever seen on this forum. you couldn't just leave it and let it go, kinda like you ruined the other thread about the marathon with your argument on capitalism. you need to start another one and then throw in your jabs at new Bedford, I told you there were people on this forum from new Bedford didn't I ? do me a favor, go find another topic to be the hero about. this has been one of the worst weeks of my life and I don't need you making comments about new bedford. and you think like the others im just looking for offense ? maybe you should step back and realize the others are right. I tried to be decent about this whole thing and have kept myself in check but you are a joke. why don't you start a thread about yourself and how everyone else is wrong except you. 2 threads now. you've ruined them both. tell you anything ? it should tell you that your selfish needs come before anything else. id ask you to have a little consideration but id be wasting my breath, its just possible for you. you should be real proud now.

I appreciate you've had a bad week, and I imagine everyone in Boston has. But please do not take it out on me. New Bedford has nothing to do with it. I made a pretty innocuous observation. Pointing out that people looked glum when I was there is not "attacking them." Here's some food for thought: It wasn't just Boston that was attacked on Monday, it was America. Same as 9/11 wasn't just about New York, it was an attack on the whole country. And just like 9/11, the internet has been swamped with the usual sneering remarks attacking America as "evil" and insinuating that they had it coming. There's been some of it on this forum. I notice you didn't have anything to say about any of that. You accuse me of ruining "the other thread about the marathon" with my "argument on capitalism." But what prompted me to make those comments? They were in response to someone else attacking capitalism (and America). So hijack a non-political thread with remarks about politics and attack America. Everything a-ok. Respond to those remarks and defend America? OMG Sharke has crossed the line of common decency and let's jump on his every word and find some way to demonize him. Gotcha! What I've learned: It's all fine and dandy to make political comments so long as they're in ideological step with the self appointed forum police. Express any opinion that's outside of their comfort zone and then all of a sudden you're ruining the forum and everyone's offended and TOS are being cited and reports are being made. And then you're the bad guy, and you're "arrogant," and you're "selfish" and you should lie down and take your scolding like a good boy. Well sorry, not going to happen. Take the advice of trimph1 and block me.
