FX bin - Wishful thought
This is just hopeful (or wishful thinking), but I really would like to see either the track's FX bin stretch to the number of plug-ins I have on a track. Having to add an FX bin to ProChannel just to see them all (which isn't always the case) is quite cumbersome.
Brian Sonar Platinum, Steinberg Wavelab Pro 9, MOTU 24CoreIO w/ low-slew OP-AMP mods and BLA external clock, True P8, Audient ASP008, API 512c, Chandler Germ500, Summit 2ba-221, GAP Pre-73, Peluso 22251, Peluso 2247LE, Mackie HR824, Polk Audio SRS-SDA 2.3tl w/upgraded Soniccraft crossovers and Goertz cables, powered by Pass-X350. All wiring Star-Quad XLR or Monster Cable. Power by Monster Power Signature AVS2000 voltage stabilizer and Signature Pro Power 5100 PowerCenter on a 20A isolation shielded circuit.

In my Sonar X2a 64 bit on Win 8 the FX bin is stretched automatically on the track header.

Same here, John, on Windows 7, that is. The only time the FXbin is limited is in the Console View. Ever since X2 and the PC FXChains, I rarely, if ever, use the FX bin anyway.

Is you point mainly to have them auto-scale to the number of plug-ins? That would be nice. What I would really like to see is being able to adjust the width of the FX bin. A lot of plug-ins that have long names, especially ones where the manufacturer puts their name first, have important info chopped off the end. For example, I have 9 different UAD Neve plug-ins (counting the SE versions), but all I can see in the bin is "UAD Neve...". Blue Cat is even worse, all I can see there is "Blue Cat's...". Of course you can see the full title if you hover your mouse over the plug, but that gets a bit tiresome.

Sorry, I should have stated, Console View, yes. I never use Track View for mixing, only editing.

Sorry, you didn't state mixing. Some people use plug ins when tracking too.

I really wish the FX in the console view FX bin would scroll with the scroll wheel on the mouse. Hate having to always try to hit those little, tiny arrows just to see what's in there!

How do you guys get the FX bin to show in the track view ?
I can show/hide them in the console view with the modules menu, but I can't find any option to change in the track view ?
I haven't found anything in the manual either...

The dropdown just below the MIDI menu in the track view controls what is shown in the track view.

Thanks scook, I can't believe I didn't see that, it was staring me right in the face.
I looked everywhere...
