Error loading guiBitmap

I have a lot of old projects (created in Sonar 7PE) that display a message when opening in X2a:

Bitmap not found
Error loading guiBitmap

The message box is always initially hidden under the Sonar window, so it is not immediately evident.  I need to open Task Manager to bring it to the top to cancel it so that the project can continue to load.

I originally assumed that the message was referring to a missing track icon, but I have now corrected the track icon filepath in global settings and this didn't stop the error message.

Any ideas?

Are you running on a 64bit OS? I think that might be a plugin window not painting properly.Try opening the project in safe mode and see if it happens as you turn on plugins.

If I open one of these projects in Safe Mode, the missing bitmap message is displayed after clicking Yes to Rapture.  But the message is only displayed once, i.e. it does not reappear for further instances of Rapture in the same project.

These projects were created in Sonar 7PE (32-bit) running on XP.  I'm opening them in Sonar X2a (32-bit) running on W7-64.

It sounds like something is missing from the rapture install. are you running the latest version? If no then I would install the patch if no then just re-install over the top of your existing rapture install.

I recently re-installed Rapture, this time selecting the 64-bit option instead of 32-bit. Before that, these same projects would not even open at all.  Version is 1.22.

I wonder if a clean reinstall of Rapture would fix the error. The installer http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013294 would be the one I would try.

The new Rapture installer, it will require the new credentials that were added to your account when you bought X2.

If you added any programs or expansion packs other than the Cakewalk free ones, you may want to backup the current Rapture directories, prior to running the new installer. That would mean copying "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Rapture" (and the Multisample directory if you moved it from the default location), the hidden directory "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Rapture" and possibly "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Rapture", if it was used during the 32bit install. This will help get back the extra programs/samples into the fresh Rapture install.

It's my understanding that this is just a new and different installer aimed at users who had trouble installing the program.  I didn't have any of the problems that it was intended to address.  I might try re-installing again though, but I would prefer to stick to the old installer.
