Audio question and SonarX2 Professional

Hi All, sadly my UA25EX has given up it's ability to record after many years of service and as times are a bit tough, I've found a used Alesis Multimix 8 USB 2.0 Mixer for $75 and would like to know if anyone has any experience with a similar setup? I'm using a laptop (Intel i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz, with 8 Gigs of Ram) with Sonar X2 Professional. Thanks in advance for your time should you care to respond. Cheers, Wolf

Well, it looks like it should work fine - up to Windows 7 64-bit anyways.  Their drivers page does not show any drivers for Windows 8 and you did not indicate what OS you are running, so that's the best I can tell you for the moment.

Here is the link for the downloads page, for the drivers - also there seems to be a firmware update too:

Hope that helps, and good luck with it all.

Thanks for your response Bob, sorry about the missing OS info... using Windows 8 and unfortunately I found that Alesis has no plans to provide Windows 8 drivers for this device so I've shelved this idea. Now considering the purchase of a V-Studio 20. I've always liked the fact that Cakewalk drivers have been current with every release of Windows. Really appreciate your help. Wolf

Wolf - under the Hardware section of this forum you'll see quite a few threads running about audio device ideas.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.
