audio engine turns orange when using session drummer 2

I am encountering a problem with the audio engine when trying to use session drummer 2 with Home studio 7.  When inserting the soft synth, I check the "all synth audio out stereo" box so as to get each part of the kit on it's own fader.  For some reason this turns off the audio engine.  It turns orange instead of blue and I can't click it off.  If I open a kit with "First synth audio out", then everything works fine.  The audio engine remains blue.  The audio engine works fine except for this problem in trying to get the session drummer on eight different tracks.  Please help.  This is driving me crazy.

The point release of SHS7 had a problem with multiple synth outputs.
This was corrected with the 7.01 update.
