Function key not changing smart tool (Partially Solved - Bug?)

Using X2a-64

When using the F5 through F10 keys to cycle through the smart tools (smart, select, move, edit, draw, erase) the tools do not change.  This is in any of the views.  I must use the mouse to clink on the button to change.

I know my keyboard is working because when I go the key bindings to check the assignments (which are correct, the default) these same F5-F10 key work using 'locate key...'.

Any ideas?

I think F5-F10 are [Unassigned] by default, no? If you press the mouse wheel you can display the buttons as well.

No, I was completely wrong. They do work fine here.

Edit: Do other F keys work fine?

    All other 'F' keys work F1, F3, F12 (F2, F4, F11 unassigned)
I forgot about the middle mouse button, that help a lot but I would really like F5 and F7

    F5-F10 is the default.

F11 is Full Screen although it says [Unassigned].

    Try reassigning them...

You got me on the right track...

While starting to reassign, I noticed I already reassigned 'Smart' to alt-X and 'Select' to alt-V some time ago (which works fine).
If I only use the other keys F7-F10 everything is fine UNTIL I HIT F5 or F6, the original 'Smart' and 'Select'.
Once I do that, F7-F10 won't work until I hit alt-X or alt-V.  Everything is fine again until I hit F5 or F6 again.

That is strange...could be a quirk in your keyboard and not neccessarily Sonar...I have had this issue in the past with a Logitec keyboard. It was programmable and if I didn't have certain things enabled it would play with my shortcuts...

I have the exact same issue. The Fkeys for smart tool selection do not work. W7 64.
