Turn off metronome? -PERMANENTLY!
Has anyone ever found a way to be able to turn off the metronome permanently? Or at least get the default status to be set to off? It is not a major issue but it does get really annoying!!! Thanks

Create a template with the metronome "off". Use that instead of the supplied templates.

Ahh - what an ingeniously simple idea...thanks :) that would do it. I still reckon Cake should give us the option, but that option from you will work nicely. Cheers

There is an option in Preferences > Project > Metronome to set the audio metronome output to None.

It is a project preference. What happens if you save the preference in your the project template?

If you just discovered templates, man it's worth the time to setup a few to fit your tasks. This is the difference between work, and inspirations. Cheers Dude!

Because of an interesting bug in X2, if you do any kind of looping should have the metronome on in your template, but mute it. X2b please.

I would guess that a dedicated bus for the Metronome is necessary to more easily control the volume of the 'click'? I was going to suggest opening the Metronome settings under Preferences and adjust the volume to 'zero' to solve the problem you're experiencing, though as it's project specific, you'd have to do this every time. There's also the toggle buttons on the Control Bar in the metronome section that allow (or not) the 'click' to appear on recording or playback.

I can set the Metronome to ZERO, no record or playback... but I still get a 4 beat count off!! What's with that?
