It is a great start. The guitar riff sounds great. Can't wait to hear with the vocals.

Drums sound very hollow for the guitar sound and a bit distant in the mix. Maybe you could wet them up a tiny bit to compensate, I'm not quite sure. I'm sure once this is mastered it will all sound better with the vocals added. Great start and a cool jam on the guitars. Keep it going. Peace and blessings, John

vechung It is a great start. The guitar riff sounds great. Can't wait to hear with the vocals. Thank you!!! I am still working on it, the lead guitar was just a 1 take rough mix, I really wanna try and record something cleaner sounding and have it ring better. Thanks again!! Bobby

Peace and blessings, John I can't thank you enough for your helpful advice John. I must ask, I am using Session Drummer 2 and the Music Creator 5 Studio Drums from cakewalk for drums, that's all I got. Anyway on this tune i am using Session drummer 2, I think I selected a High and Tight setting, should I go with a more room setting? The thing is some people tell me when I use one or the other that I need to use a different drum kit sound. In the past one of my biggest problems with record the drums was that starting out I lost sight of the fact that when you are programming them and click on a certain NOTE then the next not ends up with that velocity value. In this version I decided to make all drum tones one value, they aren't 127 but they are all the same, I think for recording that might be the best way to go about things??? Drum's are my main problem on everything, I am limited in money and limited in drum selections. Not much I can do about that. Either way, Thank you for taking the time to listen and reply, I value your opinion very much. My lead guitar I didn't think was bad for an improve but it was very Muddy, TOO MUDDY. It's all good I guess because at least I have a graph to go by and work on. Thanks for the advice, I really do appreciate it, I'm still working on this tune and hopefully will have a better version soon. Thanks again!! Bobby

Cool! I like the song and the solo has a little Randy Rhoads tone happening. Let us know when you get more or all complete.

TraceyStudios Cool! I like the song and the solo has a little Randy Rhoads tone happening. Let us know when you get more or all complete. Thanks for taking the time to listen and reply. I will let everyone know. I may do a few updates based on some of the advice I get here before I end up with a final version. My lead guitar in this was probably the muddiest sounding thing I've ever done, and what I can't figure out is that I had the distortion settings extremely low, really lower than ever in this song, LOL, I guess I was playing a bit sloppy perhaps. I've been trying to use less distortion here lately in what I play instead of making things feel easier for playing using higher distortion. I want things to sound clearer these days. In the past I'd throw all the distortion I could in my recording but that was just a cover up I think for me. I'm sure you guitar players know exactly what I am talking about. I want clarity in my songs, not distortion to the point where your hearing mud. I know I haven't achieved it with this song, but I am striving to do so hopefully as time goes on. I want my music clean, not muddy. Anyway just thought I'd mention that. Hopefully I am on the right track. Randy Rhoads has been a big influence on my playing and I appreciate that compliment even though I know I ain't no Randy Rhoads but that gives me some more inspiration. Thanks!! Thanks again for taking the time to listen and reply, Bobby
