MC-6 and Win 8 working

Good news to report. The download to MC-6 Touch Win 8 went smoothly. I had a few problem installing a new Win 8/64 device driver. Fortunately ROLAND has step by step instructions in the Knowledge base. I was able to install all of my previous VI's and some new ones. I can't wait to get my new VS-100 integrated into the setup. As far as going from Win XP directly to WIN 8 and from Project5 to MC-6. I don't think I'll ever look back...I'll keep you posted. Thanks to those who provided help.

I’m happy to report that I’ve figured out the last piece of the puzzle. It took three 8 hour days to get the Roland VS Studio 100 functioning with Cakewalk’s Music Creator 6 Touch Win 8 64. It involved a series of firmware and software downloads and updates and a few Forum and Cakewalk support inquires. Fortunately it was Roland’s On-line Knowledge Database that ultimately provided what was needed to accomplish the task. Once I got all of the drivers and update installed and figured out MC-6, my last challenge was getting the VS-100 to function as a control surface using Roland’s ACT protocol. I now have everything connected and working. The VS-100 seems to be a worthy piece of hardware and I ‘ll be able to get back to working with MC-6, my new plug-ins and VI’s (for the next 5 years until I have to update it all over again). Thanks to Roland/Cakewalk and all others that assisted me. I’ll be checking the forums frequently to see if I can offer any assistance or tips from what I’ve learned.
