MC4 no sound for windows 8

I have a windows 8 laptop and trying to use MC4 on it (x64) problem is that I don't get any sound. I tried changing the advance driver mode to MME (32-bit)  which sets all the profile tests to OK but still no sound.

I believe MC4 is designed for 32 bit operating systems.

You might wish to consider upgrading to MC6 which has some nice perks over MC4 and it runs on 64 bit OS as well.

You might however, wish to see if W-8 has a 32 bit operating mode. Probably something you choose during the startup.... maybe on of the OS guru's can answer that for you better than I.

Yea MC4 is DEFINITELY for 32-bit systems. Check if there is a way to run it as 32-bit. That MIGHT work.

I would try an external interface.  USB interfaces with ASIO drivers.

I have tried to get MC4 to play sound through it's internal sound card. I've set it up every way I know and have NEVER been able to get a single peep out if it. It works like a champ on my external interface however.

Do that before you call it quits on trying to get it to work on W8.   Even though it is 32 bit..... with a good interface running ASIO it might still work fine on W8/64.  It's worth a try if you have or can borrow a quality interface.
