SONG: ¿Por que No?

Hey,
I've got a new song out. It's called "¿Porque No?" - you can check it out here:
http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12304247

It's all done on SONARX2

This one hardly has any real guitar - just the one loop that you hear right from the beginning.

It *does* have:
a cool sampled lap steel guitar
sampled acoustic guitar
lots of Omnisphere (incl some elec guitar)
VB3 Hammond
and good old Superior Drummer2

Please let me know what you think - all feedback is welcome ;-)

Nice.... the sampled guitars sound pretty good. A far cry from the midi stuff of yesteryear.

I may need to listen to this on cans..... that center breakdown section sounded pretty wide (1:48) .... I actually turned around wondering what that sound was..... then I realized it was in the speakers.....

nice groove to the song. I like it.... of course the title drew me in.....Why Not have a listen.... glad I did.

thanks a lot for listening guitar hacker. that middle part is *supposed* to be wide

I've been corrected though by a proper Spanish speaker - and I need to go change the name to Por que no? the space means a lot

This is one of the best uses of sampled instruments I've heard in a while.  The song is truly a winner in my book.  I must listen again.  Keep up the good work.

    All the best,

    John,

Sounds good, nice groove.  The samples and Omnisphere guits all sound good.  I know what the Omnisphere guitars sound like out-of-the-box with not so good MIDI inputs so you must have spent some time tweaking your MIDI tracks.....Not a hint of MIDI in this to my ears.   Like it..

Hey thanks a lot for listening - both Lynn and mark!

It was just a little project to try and make the samples sound "real". Obviously they're not - but it's fun "tweaking".
You do actually learn a lot.

Thanks a lot for listening guitarplayer. I guess it's weird for a guitarist to use guitar samples - but I can't play slide guitar, and micing an acoustic is just way too much hassle in my tiny (literally a closet) studio ;-)
Well the electric samples were done out of laziness - but it's fun;-)

Do you ever use guitar samples?
