Session Dummer 3 not working after installing free "Rock Legends" kit

It kind of goes in and out of functioning, but the majority of the time it's kind of like the synth isn't outputting any midi signals. And other times, it's just extremely quiet. And on occasion it'll work as expected. This is really strange and erratic behaviour, and it only began when I installed that free kit. Anyone know what's up? I uninstalled the kit, but it didn't do anything. Any help appreciated!

Update: It appears that it's actually the step sequencer that isn't sending MIDI data to the synth. I should say, I have an old project that's worked for months with no problem and now the drums are silent.

Our kits have 16 velocity layers which means they'll use more RAM than other SD3 kits... So ensure you have enough memory for the kit.

    Other settings to check:

MIDI Playback and Recording - Playback - Prepare Using.  Increase this value.. we have ours set to 999 Millisecond buffers
