Just Got Sonar X2, Do I delete X1?

I bought the upgrade and I'm downloading the million files needed to download. But I don't know where to go from there. Do I run the exe's over my current X1, uninstall X1 or will I know have both X1 and X2 on my computer? I must say the downloading from disc was so much easier. One thing I'm definite of is that I'm not downloading anything until I find out what's the best way. I finally got X1 working perfectly with Maschine and Komplete.

Thanks for you help in advance,

Leave X1 installed. X2 will install in separate directories. That way, if you have trouble with X2, you will still have X1. If you have the Dimension Pro that shipped with X1 installed, skip downloading and installing the version that comes with X2. They are the same. +1 to scook's advice, plus one additional caveat: if you uninstall X1, you may also be deleting some shared files that will create problems with X2.

Too many people ask this same question.  It needs to be made clear in the installation instructions.  Bring back the yellow sheet!

I found myself in a situation in which it was better to uninstall X1 first.

    I had installed X1 on a non-C: partition in a folder called X1-something-or-other.

When I then installed X2, a lot of X2 stuff ended up inside the X1 folder, which didn't make much sense.

So I wiped everything clean including as much in the registry as I could find, and then installed just X2.

I have no reason to use X1 anyway and it just took up space on my SSD.

I still use X1 to port old projects into X2. The only time I have X2 crash on me is when really old plugins try to load. So I load the projects in X1, delete the old plugins, then finally open the projects in X2.
