RE: Navigator and Markers 2 part question

Why can't I move the Navigator to my second monitor? Why can't I change colors of my markers? It would be so nice if I could color the markers like you can color the tracks. This way markers relating to certain parts of the song or instruments could be found really fast. (Sonar X1)

You can change the color of all markers via the Customization - Colors section of the Edit > Preferences dialog, but you can't change the color of individual markers.

As for the Navigator, you can put that anywhere you'd like. Choose Views > Navigator. It will most likely open in the MultiDock. Just right-click the Navigator tab at the bottom of the MultiDock and choose Undock. Now you can drag the Navigator window anywhere you'd like.

What hot key do I press to get the cursor to go to the exact end of my looping point so that I can zoom in and see exactly where the loop cuts off the waveform on track 37?

NO I can NOT move the Navigator wherever I want. I want to move it to my #2 monitor. IT WON'T GO THERE. I undock it (actually it moves where I place it regardless of any dock un dock BUT I can only move it around on screen # 1. I can't slide it to monitor #2. I only have 2/ 22in monitors and my song has some 40+ tracks so moving the navigator from screens 1 and 2 would be good for certain edit procedures. Part 2 of the question was changing the color of the markers. I know I can change the track colors, a nice feature when you need to group sections of songs and instruments, BUT not being able to group marker flags in groups of colors is a pain when you can color group things like buses and tracks. No biggie, just would be nice to have. THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES!!

There are two Navigators. You access the track view navigator from the track view view menu. The other can be accessed from the main menu or Alt+Shift+8. With this one, the one that should be in the multi dock you can left click on its tab and drag it anywhere. As with any docked view right clicking on the tab will bring up a menu to undock it.

The one for the track view should show up at the top of the track view and can not be moved to my knowledge.  At least I know of no way to move it.

OK I tried it, it did NOT work then I enabled floating and it DID go to the 2nd monitor. Apparently...I was under the impression that initially I COULD move the navigator around regardless. I COULD move it all around screen 1. I already knew to use the alt+shift+8, that's how I could move it or go to the view. BUT I thought moving it on screen 1 WAS UNDOCKED for I could MOVE IT. WRONG...turns out, after reading all the replies including yours. I thought..hmm lft click again...I did and saw "FLOAT" I floated and Som ma ****...it could be moved to screen 2.. Thank you everyone and especially John ( with the flame font...flaming John? sorry dude...lol)... for getting me to try it one more time! Everyone helped on this one and it really helps me on this particular song. I have been laid up with serious med issues once again, so have not been using CAKE for some time. Nice to see John and CJ are still around to help us long time users out. I'm up and recording again and will be hitting you all up again for assistance like long ago. Don't mean to sound mushy but thanks guys. Rock on or we'll hurt cha bad! JV
