The clips are greyed out in my project [FIXED]

Hello there,
 
I'm using Sonar X2 Essentials, and I have these old tracks I mixed using Sonar 2007 Home Studio. They are for video files about 20 minutes in length and have a ton of little blips of audio data (I don't know if that's relavant here).
 
Everything is working fine until I add a new track. After that it seems like everything becomes read only (sound still works and everything, it's just that all snippets of audio are greyed out and can't be edited).
 
I've tried saving and re-opening, and I've tried clearing the picture cache (I doubt that has anything to do with the problem, but then again I'm not that familiar with X2...every clip does have a BUSY next to it, though).

    Clock rate? As in your old projects were 44.1 and your new set up defaults to 48.

    I've got it. I'm not completely sure, but it has something to do with the automation...ummm..."lines" or whatever you call them.

    For some reason Sonar X2 seems to want me to take hold of the "automation lines" and drag them around. The problem fixes itself when I click the "Automation Lanes" button. I guess Sonar X2 isn't that compatible with having the lines on top of the clip like in the past.

    Sorry, a correction - It fixes itself when I click the "Take Lanes = Track Lanes Off" button. I'm not entirely sure what this means, as I'm completely new to this version of Sonar.
     
    UPDATE: Ok I don't quite understand why this is, but it seems to be when I click on Take Lanes = Track Lanes Off" and then click on Automate Lanes...Yeah I'm confused, but I've got it working. It's just because it's imported from Sonar Home Studio 2007 I'm thinking...
