There seems to be a distinct lack of the triple B's: Bapu, Beagle and becan.

Web forums are getting very slow. Music forums may be especially hit, as music professionals; and people who at one point in time earned their middle class, "fun in the sun," from music, haven't really got a pretty penny from their precious noise anymore. Forget the grammy winners, the just in bibbers, and the lady gag.on.it's. The real back bone of music audio, forums, and businesses, were the guys who did the 10 hour days, and made $40,000 - $200,000 a year. Well.. Those guys are all but gone. It doesn't matter if I'm a good musician. I make exactly $0.00 from my music. I can't find the time to play around with it, got bills to pay. Can't find the time to buy a whole bunch of software, or instruments, cause I can't find the time to play music. Bills to pay. I just come on the forums when I can now. Trying to find some way in my, "real world," life to use my digital media/audio production skills.
too many lasers... Sonar = audio editing ninja of a music software!

I've always wondered....in my own world...and heard that there were 999,999 or so guitar pickers in Nashville. I kinda figured that a place for musicians would be smokin'. Maybe the fire went out in the early eighties. I know Jeff and I wrote a "Slow" song that can be heard at Mix.........Bapu might not be here but I did learn about pluggin' from him!

To me, the whole web seems odd lately. Bugs and all... For example, one of things I've noticed becoming real frequent is w/ image files - corruption in graphics - like half the picture all pixelized and green - image that won't display at all then get back after I hit refresh a few times. Everywhere - here, on FB, searching w/ Google. Maybe it a Mac/Safari/Mail issue. It also seems to be worst since we've moved here. But we have the same provider, so I'm guessing that it's probably something more global than that. But, yeah, this place feels like it's dying - how often have you seen only 4 or 5 topics active in the last 24 hours? That being said, sometimes, when I cannot post or reply for a few hours like tonight, I end up thinking that maybe a lot of people are experiencing the same bugs and just gave up. And we've lost people. Come to think of it, how about all the other B's? Bub. (Well, technically, he posted upstairs not long ago and we know he's left). Beepster - I was thinking about him today - where's Beepster, man? Britney Spears, Beyonce, Bjork, Bananarama, the Bangles - none of them posted recently either. Coincidence? Then Bapu and Beagle. Jubilee, I haven't heard of in a while. Craig Dubuc. And that's just a few names off the top of my head. Seriously, we've lost people man... And the fact that they don't come around makes it easy to skip a day every now and then.

The weather is getting nicer out, lots of people are either getting busier at their jobs or finding other activities temporarily. And.. we still have the longest running thread in the history of mankind!!! Quality over quantity right? I don't feel like this place is dying but maybe my definition of dying is different. The forum is ours to make of what we want. If the forum is disappointing lets hear some suggestions...better yet, why not post something you want to discuss?

Coming here to the CH has become a habitual kind of thing. Today though I won't be here much. I got a good deal on a thing that takes three #6 wires that need to be 80feet long encased in conduit and fed underground to an 18" depth for 20ft. outside the house. Then I need to pipe this thing. It's not as bad as it might sound. I took off work to work, but it is a nice day here to accomplish the tasks necessary. Have a nice day CH!

I was having mucho Internet problems recently and the technician at Time Warner Cable told me to go into my Internet settings and put their DNS server as the primary DNS lookup, followed by Google's DNS server as the backup. Ever since then, it's been smooth surfin'.

Karyn the water feature is a pool heat pump. I got it as a showroom special and It doesn't work correctly. I had hoped for warm water and instead I get high pressure fail safe lock outs. Since I'm a little handy and happened to have a set of gauges laying around I checked it out and after it runs for 5 minutes the head pressure goes from 200 psi to 400 psi. The unit supposedly has never been installed....I'm starting to really wonder about that. I have flow through the loop and it never locked out on flow. UGGGGGH!! So today I'm sore and no closer to my goal. At least it has a warranty.

The, how shall we label it, "economic downturn" is not over yet. People are falling out at an unrecognizable rate as the "depression" moves to different areas. Music has been affected for years. Don't believe all the hype you hear.
