help cleaning up UAD plugins in Sonar's plugin manager
Hi: Months ago I installed the version 6.4 upgrade 64bit UAD2 plugins when that version came out and all went well; i have since updated to 6.51 and 6.52. All works well. HOWEVER, I see that I have three sets of UAD plugins when I only need two sets (64bit mono and 64bit stereo). The three sets I see in my plugin manager are as follows:
1-----Program files (x86)\cakewalk\vstplugins\powered plugins\
2-----Program files\steinberg\vstplugins\Powered Plugins\mono\
3-----Program files\universal audio\Powered Plugins\
Since I do not use 32bit programs anymore and have no projects unfinished that would need the ones in the 32bit folder (x86), can I just delete these to save space in my plugin manager? Is there any reason to keep these? Will UAD work with just the two 64bit sets in Program files (one being mono the other being stereo)?
Apparently I hit the plugin limit (BAPU would know about this) and got a message warning that I needed to clean up the plugin manager layouts as I was over the plugin limit. I am deleting some older 32bit plugins that I never use, but thought that it would be good to clean up the UAD2 plugins and remove what I did not need nor ever use.
Just thought I would ask you experts on this gear forum to make sure its okay before I do something dumb. So, can the 32bit UAD plugins be removed and will the remaining 64bit mono and stereo UAD2 plugins still work fine?
