Rapture and Dim Pro support on Mac ended with 10.6.8. However, the synths are known to work through 10.7, and probably 10.8 (not sure).

The installers are broken, and they refuse to repackage the synths in new installers... which to me is a convenient/passive way of saying "we will not test this software beyond 10.6.8". 10.7 release will soon be 2 years old, so I think you might glean an answer to your 10.8 question from that. Meanwhile, zeta+ v2 and various FX plugs are released with mac support... so it's not a total lack of resources, per se, but (IMO) Rapture and Dim Pro are simply not a priority, and never will be. Shame, cuz I had so many tracks on my windows boxes with rapture and dim pro inserts... going back and replacing those so I can move on with my life.

I think of cakewalk more as a "pc"centric company , much like I think of MOTU as a "mac"centric company.. where that is their strong area.

apple keep changing goalposts.. BUT their audio stuff as the advantage of a headstart.. much like steiny and VST3 for an example.

to be blunt I think a company should focus on both equally or not at all... personally I'd not bother with the mac market due to how apple is pretty much a closed shop and really control EVERYTHING from OS to cpu choice etc.. (I used to fix and upgrade pro audio / video macs for a living many many moons ago)

Actually, the installer installs, then asks for the serial number and declares it invalid...

They don't even use a proper Mac installer - if they did you could use Pacifist to open it and install it manually. About time Cakewalk updated this - I know it runs on OSX Lion, they just need to update their installer.
